About CARDIO karate

 If you've ever wanted to learn a martial art, but were turned off by uniforms and traditions, Cardio Karate is for you! 

You'll burn up to 800 calories an hour while learning life saving self-defense techniques. You can wear your regular workout clothes. There are no belts or uniforms involved .   No physical contact.  No experience required-everyone works at their own pace.  The most fun way to get in shape ever!

We are different from those other programs in that we also teach self-defense moves , actual combinations you could use on an opponent, and resistance training by slipping on those boxing gloves and punching the heavy bags.  This "bag section" of the class is a favorite of many, and is also a great stress reliever.  And of course our students have lots of fun in class and especially enjoy the personalized instruction from our Black Belts , and the camaraderie of their classmates.  

Cardio Karate (1 hour):

The standard Cardio Karate class provides a mixture of aerobic exercise and heavy bag work utilizing combinations of kicking and punching techniques. Classes are taught at an intermediate level with modifications shown for beginners and/or more experienced participants. Hand wraps and boxing gloves are strongly recommended. Class format is:

Warm-up/Stretch

8-12 min

Aerobic/Rhythmic Workout

15 min

Heavy Bag Workout

15 min

Floor exercises, Cool-down/Stretch

15 min
